CPR, BLS & First Aid Certification Classes Taught At Your Foster City Home Or Business

In Home CPR is available seven days a week, including evenings to come to your Foster City business or home.

We offer Red Cross, American Heart Association and ASHI First Aid, CPR and BLS certification classes – as well as pediatric-focus classes for new and expecting parents.

CPR Essentials

The Foster City CPR Essentials Class is a non-certification pediatric-focused class for all members of your family, including nannies and grandparents. You will learn to respond to airway emergencies such as choking, allergic reactions, drowning, seizures, as well as learn infant CPR.

CPR AED Class

CPR AED classes taught in Foster City are designed for non-medical professionals who need a CPR certification. It is an American Red Cross Certification class taught at your Foster City business or home.

BLS for Healthcare Providers

Foster City BLS Classes are the required CPR certification for people who work in healthcare and for healthcare students. If you are recertifying, consider doing most of the BLS course online ahead of time, followed by a skills session with our instructor – the hands-on practice portion of the course.

First Aid Class

We offer ASHI First Aid certifications that are valid for two-years and fulfill OSHA requirements for Foster City. Topics covered include: allergic reactions, Epi-pen, bleeding, stroke, heart attack, diabetic emergencies, seizures and many other first aid topics.

First Aid CPR AED Classes

Foster City certification classes for First Aid & CPR AED are ASHI certifications that meet OSHA requirements and are valid for two years. ASHI First Aid classes cover topics such as heart attack, stroke, low blood sugar, diabetic emergencies, fainting, concussions, burns, bleeding and many other common topics.

Pediatric First Aid AED CPR Class

Red Cross Foster City pediatric first aid CPR AED certification classes meet the EMSA’s requirements for childcare teachers in California. Choking, allergic reactions, epi-pen use, concussions, seizures and many other topics are covered in this Red Cross certification course.

ACLS Class

Foster City American Heart Association ACLS certification classes can be for a single person or group. Recertification of your ACLS certification can be done mostly online, but a required skills session with an instructor is required.

Frequently Asked Questions About Foster City CPR Classes

Q: What is the cost for setting up a class at my Foster City office or home?

A: It depends on the number of people you have. We do one-on-one CPR classes in Foster City, but that is an expensive way to take a class. As you add people to your class, the price per person becomes lower. You can visit any of our class pages and use the price calculator to get an instant quote.

Q: Do you cover allergic reactions and using an Epi-Pen in your Foster City First Aid classes?

A: Yes, responding to airway emergencies is an important part of all Foster City First Aid training classes: not only Epi-Pen use, but choking, suffocation, and poisoning. First Aid classes cover many topics: bleeding, burns, recognizing the signs of a heart attack and stroke, diabetic emergencies, falls, concussions, heat and cold emergencies, and many more!

Q: What skills are taught in an Foster City American Heart Association BLS class?

A: Unlike a CPR class for the public, a BLS class is geared for medical professionals that may have access to additional equipment and trained personnel. Skills include: adult, child and infant CPR. 1 person, 2 person and group responses are practiced, use of an AED – automated external defibrillator, using a BVM – bag-value-mask, advanced airways, responses to choking and opioid emergencies. Anyone can take an AHA BLS certification course in Foster City.

Q: Do you teach infant CPR classes at Foster City homes?

A: Yes, we do. We also teach them at hospitals like California Pacific Medical Center. Our CPR Essentials course is a non-certification course that covers infant CPR and airway issues such as choking, drowning, suffocation, seizures and allergies. We also cover basic first aid topics such as bleeding, burns and falls.

Q: What CPR certification do Foster City childcare teachers need?

A: Licensed California child care teachers need a Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification for Foster City. The certification is valid for two years and needs to be accepted by the EMSA – the agency that regulates daycares and preschools. We offer American Red Cross certifications because it’s the preferred certification for the EMSA.

Q: Are you now issuing eCards for CPR certifications in Foster City?

A: Yes, eCards are now replacing the traditional paper CPR certification cards in Foster City. It’s a much better approach in our opinion. Over the years we have replaced hundreds of lost or destroyed CPR cards. With eCards you always have access to your AHA, Red Cross or ASHI First Aid and CPR certification. Your certification can be printed like a traditional paper card or it can be downloaded as a PDF file. You can email your CPR card to whomever needs to verify your certification.

Q: Can I do my CPR class online first, and then you come to my Foster City location for practicing the skills?

A: You can do part of your First Aid, ACLS, BLS or CPR class online, but you still need to have to do a “skills session” with us to receive your certification. The American Heart Association ASHI, and the American Red Cross have quality interactive online courses. After completing the online course, our instructor comes to your Foster City business or home to practice the skills you learned about online – practicing with the CPR manikins and first aid supplies. For example, if our instructor teaches an entire Red Cross First Aid CPR AED course at your Foster City business or home, it will take about 4.5 to 5 hours. With the blended learning approach, the online portion takes most people between 2 to 3 hours, but this varies on people’s reading speed and familiarity with the course material. The skills session takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. This approach results in the same certification.

Q: Do you teach Foster City onsite CPR certification classes?

A: Yes, our specialty is coming to businesses and homes to teach on-site CPR classes. We bring all of the training equipment – you just need to provide a space for our class.

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.

Lori Costabile

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.
