Frequently Asked Questions About Daly City CPR Classes

Q: What days and times is In Home CPR available to come to my business or home in Daly City?

A: We are available seven days a week, including evenings to teach a Daly City CPR certification class at your home or business. Our instructors are all medical professionals who have real-life experience responding to medical emergencies.

Q: I’ve seen 1st Aid Training and First Aid Training for Daly City. Is there a difference?

A: No, those are the same thing. We instruct the American Red Cross First Aid and ASHI certification courses. However, if your group in Daly City doesn’t need a First Aid certification class, we can create a custom class that suits your needs. We teach many non-certification infant first aid classes for new and expecting parents at their homes.

Q: How long is an Daly City American Heart Association BLS certification valid for?

A: All AHA BLS certification cards last for two years. There are two different ways you can take a BLS renewal certification class. 1) We can come to your Daly City office or home and instruct the entire BLS class. 2) You can do some of the BLS course online ahead of time. Then our instructor comes to you for a BLS “skills session” – the hands-on portion of the class: practicing with the CPR manikins and other BLS training supplies. Both approaches result in the American Heart Association BLS certification. You will receive your BLS certification card the day of your class.

Q: I want to take an infant CPR class with my entire family at my home in Daly City. Is that possible?

A: Yes, that’s what we specialize in! Everyone who will be caring for your baby can train together to respond to the most common pediatric medical emergencies: choking, drowning, suffocation, allergic reactions, seizures and many more topics.

Q: Do your classes fulfill EMSA requirements for licensed childcare teachers in Daly City?

A: Yes! In Home CPR travels to preschools, daycares and childcare centers around the Bay Area and Sacramento teaching the American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification course. There is a lot of confusion around the EMSA sticker being on a certification card. Red Cross and American Heart Association certifications are exempt from needing that sticker.  Their certification courses are the industry standard so the EMSA does not require the sticker.  Any other organization’s certification must be approved by the EMSA, and if approved the EMSA sticker is required to be placed on the certification card to show its acceptance. This is why In Home CPR exclusively teaches American Red Cross and American Heart Association certification courses in Daly City.

Q: I run a licensed childcare facility in Daly City and need my staff trained. What is the correct class for us?

A: Childcare teachers are required to have a Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification in Daly City. We offer the American Red Cross class because it fulfills the licensing requirements of the EMSA – the agency that regulates childcare facilities in California.

Q: What backgrounds do your instructors have? What is their teaching style?

A: All of In Home CPR’s instructors are medical professionals. Most are EMTs, RNs, Paramedics or medical students. Our instructing style is interactive – questions are encouraged!  We want you to leave your Daly City First Aid, CPR or BLS class feeling that you had your questions answered and feel confident you can respond to a medical emergency.

Q: Do you sell AEDs to your Daly City clients?

A: Yes. We offer discounted prices on AEDs and AEDs accessories for our First Aid, BLS and ACLS and CPR Daly City class clients. More and more businesses are purchasing AEDs because the manufacturing costs have dropped. Feel free to ask us about buying an AED.

Q: I see you offer CPR training. Do you offer First Aid training in Daly City?

A: Yes, we offer both. You can take a standalone First Aid training class or CPR training class in Daly City, but you can also take them together. For people who need a certification, we offer American Red Cross First Aid certification training or American Red Cross CPR certification training or you can take a Red Cross First Aid & CPR certification training class. Let us know which class you want or need and we will make sure you are getting the correct training for your group.

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.

Lori Costabile

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.
