Q: Do you teach infant CPR classes at Woodland homes?

A: Yes, we do. We also teach them at hospitals like California Pacific Medical Center. Our CPR Essentials course is a non-certification course that covers infant CPR and airway issues such as choking, drowning, suffocation, seizures and allergies. We also cover basic first aid topics such as bleeding, burns and falls.

Q: What is the difference between Infant CPR and Child CPR in a Woodland CPR certification class?

A: Infants are defined as one-year-old and under in a First Aid & CPR class. A child Is one-year-old up to puberty. A: When we instruct an ASHI, Red Cross or American Heart Association certification course, we are required to instruct the course according to the guidelines of those organizations. However, our approach to First Aid training and CPR training in Woodland is to be very interactive with our students. We encourage our students to ask questions and if you ask about a topic not covered in your course, we are happy to cover it. Also, because we are EMTs, RNs and Paramedics we can give you a depth of understanding on any topic that goes beyond the First Aid training and CPR training of your certification course.
