CPR, BLS & First Aid Certification Classes Taught At Your Sausalito Home Or Business
In Home CPR specializes in coming to Sausalito businesses and homes to teach CPR, BLS, First Aid and ACLS certification classes.

CPR Essentials
The Sausalito CPR Essentials Class is a non-certification pediatric-focused class for all members of your family. There is no minimum number of people needed to schedule a class with us. You will learn infant CPR and responding to airway emergencies such as choking, seizures, drowning, and allergic reactions.
CPR AED Class
CPR AED certification classes taught in Sausalito are an ASHI two-year certification course for non-medical professionals. It covers CPR and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and responding to choking.
BLS for Healthcare Providers
American Heart Association BLS certifications in Sausalito are the certifications needed for anyone working in healthcare. The course covers using a Bag-Valve-Mask Device, AED, Adult, Child and Infant CPR for one-person, two-person and group responses.

A: Yes! Every year we instruct hundreds of infant CPR classes in Sausalito and other Bay Area cities. We’re very used to having babies present during classes and we understand if you need to take a break to tend to your baby. Unlike a class in a classroom with other students, infant CPR classes in your home are ideal because it’s just your family and the instructor. Many of our instructors have children, so we know the challenges of arranging for babysitters. Don’t sweat it – your baby is welcome to join us!
Q: What is the EMSA required certification for my Sausalito childcare staff?
A: We instruct American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid CPR AED courses for state licensed daycare, preschool and childcare centers. This, along with the American Heart Association’s certification, are the EMSA’s referred Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certifications for Sausalito.
Q: I want to get CPR certified, but I heard there is a written test. Is that true?
A: There is no written test to get CPR certified in Sausalito. ASHI and American Red Cross CPR certification courses focus on understanding skills via a DVD and the instructor, along with plenty of hands-on practice.
Q: How long are your Sausalito first aid and CPR classes?
A: First aid certification classes are 2.5 hours. CPR AED certification classes are 2.5 hours. If you have more than eight people for your CPR class, plan on 3 hours. Since there is some overlap in the course material between the two segments, plan on 4.5 to 5 hours. There is another approach called blended learning that results in the same certification. Your group does some of the course online ahead of time. Then our instructor comes to your group in Sausalito for the hands-on practice portion of the class called a skills session. A CPR skills session takes about 1 hour. First aid adds another hour.
Q: What topics are covered in a Sausalito CPR certification class?
A: Sausalito CPR training classes are more than just learning CPR. First, you learn to assess a person who needs help and determine if they need CPR. CPR training includes how to do CPR for adults, children and infants. However, you can exclude particular age groups from your CPR training. For example, if the required CPR certification you need only applies to training in adult CPR, you can choose to skip pediatric CPR. The class also includes training to respond to choking and training to use an AED – an Automated External defibrillator.
