BLS, CPR & First Aid Certification Classes Taught At Your San Ramon Home Or Business

In Home CPR is available seven days a week, including evenings to come to your San Ramon business or home.

We offer Red Cross, American Heart Association and ASHI First Aid, CPR and BLS certification classes – as well as pediatric-focus classes for new and expecting parents.

CPR Essentials

The San Ramon CPR Essentials Class is a non-certification infant and/or toddler-focused class for new and expecting parents. You will learn to respond to airway emergencies such as seizures, choking, drowning, allergic reactions, as well as learn CPR.

CPR AED Class

CPR AED certification classes taught in San Ramon are an ASHI two-year certification course for non-medical professionals. A portion of the class can be done online ahead of time, followed by a short skills practice session with our instructor. We use electronic feedback manikins that let you know if you are doing CPR correctly.

BLS for Healthcare Providers

American Heart Association BLS certifications in San Ramon are the certifications needed for anyone working in healthcare. This class used to be called BLS for Healthcare Providers. “Healthcare” was dropped from the name recently.

First Aid Class

We offer ASHI First Aid certifications that are valid for two years and fulfill OSHA requirements. San Ramon First Aid certifications can be paired with CPR training.

First Aid CPR AED Classes

First Aid CPR AED certifications classes for San Ramon cover many topics! First Aid training includes bleeding, burns, heart attack, stroke, fainting, allergic reactions, Epi-Pen use, seizures.

Pediatric First Aid AED CPR Class

Red Cross San Ramon pediatric first aid CPR AED certification classes meet the EMSA’s requirements for childcare teachers in California. Choking, allergic reactions, epi-pen use, concussions, seizures and many other topics are covered in this Red Cross certification course.

ACLS Class

American Heart Association ACLS certification classes in San Ramon can be scheduled with us seven days a week. Blended learning approaches – most of the ACLS certification course online, followed by a “skills session” with our instructor is a great approach for ACLS recertification.

Frequently Asked Questions About San Ramon CPR Classes

Q: What is a San Ramon In Home CPR class? Do you also come to businesses in San Ramon?

A: Our company was started with the idea of making it more convenient for people in San Ramon to take a CPR, First Aid, BLS or ACLS class. Our instructors are all EMTs, Paramedics and RNs who will bring all of the training equipment to you for your class. You just need to provide a space for your class. Outdoor classes are fine, too.

Q: What are the qualifications of the instructors who will be coming to my San Ramon home or business for my CPR class?

A: All of our instructors are medical professionals. Most have worked professionally in ambulances as EMTs and Paramedics. We also have RNs. All of them take pride in the quality of their San Ramon First Aid, CPR and BLS classes. Our classes are interactive and questions are encouraged, so ask our instructors to give you extra knowledge on the First Aid and CPR topics most important to you.

Q: When I think of first aid, I think of how to handle bleeding and burns, but I know it must include more, right?

A: The first aid training classes we teach in San Ramon cover much more than cuts and burns. We instruct American Red Cross First Aid and ASHI certification courses. They include responding to seizures, broken bones, strokes, heart attacks, allergic reactions, how to use an epi-pen, poisonings, and temperature-related emergencies. We also offer pediatric first aid classes for licensed childcare centers in San Ramon and non-certification infant first aid classes for new and expecting parents.

Q: I work in healthcare in San Ramon. Am I required to take a BLS class?

A: If you work in healthcare or are a healthcare student, you are required to have a BLS Provider certification. California hospitals and clinics follow American Heart Association CPR guidelines and often require a BLS Provider certification — and will not accept any other organization’s certification. Other healthcare industries that require BLS certifications include dentists, physical and occupational therapists. We always instruct American Heart Association BLS certification classes in San Ramon offices.

Q: My baby is starting to eat solid foods. Is choking covered in an San Ramon infant CPR class if you come to my home?

A: Yes, for infant CPR classes our focus is teaching you to recognize and respond to airway issues: choking, drowning, suffocation, seizures and allergic reactions. Fortunately, it’s rare to do CPR on an infant, but when it happens, often the cause is a lack of oxygen. We bring all of the training equipment to San Ramon homes for infant CPR classes at a time that is convenient for you and your family.

Q: I run a licensed childcare facility in San Ramon and need my staff trained. What is the correct class for us?

A: Childcare teachers are required to have a Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification in San Ramon. We offer the American Red Cross class because it fulfills the licensing requirements of the EMSA – the agency that regulates childcare facilities in California.

Q: I want to learn how to use an AED and it looks like I can buy one through In Home CPR. Is that true?

A: Yes, we have a relationship with an AED wholesalers and purchase AEDs for our San Ramon CPR class clients. Our instructors will show you how to use an AED while doing CPR during your class.

Q: Do you sell AEDs to your San Ramon clients?

A: Yes.  We offer discounted prices on AEDs and AEDs accessories for our First Aid, BLS and ACLS and CPR San Ramon class clients. More and more businesses are purchasing AEDs because the manufacturing costs have dropped. Feel free to ask us about buying an AED.

Q: How long are your San Ramon first aid and CPR classes?

A: First aid certification classes are 2.5 hours. CPR AED certification classes are 2.5 hours. If you have more than eight people for your CPR class, plan on 3 hours. Since there is some overlap in the course material between the two segments, plan on 4.5 to 5 hours. There is another approach called blended learning that results in the same certification. Your group does some of the course online ahead of time. Then our instructor comes to your group in San Ramon for the hands-on practice portion of the class called a skills session. A CPR skills session takes about 1 hour. First aid adds another hour.

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.

Lori Costabile

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.
