Frequently Asked Questions About Pleasanton CPR Classes

Q: How do I set up a CPR class at my Pleasanton business or home?

A: Whether you need CPR Training, BLS Certification or an Infant CPR class, contact us with a couple of dates and start times in mind and we will schedule a class with you. We can also train you to use an AED.

Q: What days and times is In Home CPR available to come to my business or home in Pleasanton?

A: We are available seven days a week, including evenings to teach a Pleasanton CPR certification class at your home or business. Our instructors are all medical professionals who have real-life experience responding to medical emergencies.

Q: CPR training is important. What about including First Aid training in my Pleasanton class?

A: We agree! Everyone knows that CPR and using an AED are life-saving skills. However, a Pleasanton first aid training class will prepare you for the most common medical emergencies: choking, bleeding, burns, using an epi-pen. Responding to cold and heat emergencies. Broken bones, seizures and allergic reactions. We teach First Aid and CPR AED combination certification classes, too.

Q: Do you instruct the American Heart Association’s BLS certification class in Pleasanton?

A: Yes, the AHA’s BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification is often the required CPR certification if you work in a clinic or hospital. If you are a student in healthcare, you are also required to have a BLS certification.

Q: My baby is starting to eat solid foods. Is choking covered in an Pleasanton infant CPR class if you come to my home?

A: Yes, for infant CPR classes our focus is teaching you to recognize and respond to airway issues: choking, drowning, suffocation, seizures and allergic reactions. Fortunately, it’s rare to do CPR on an infant, but when it happens, often the cause is a lack of oxygen. We bring all of the training equipment to Pleasanton homes for infant CPR classes at a time that is convenient for you and your family.

Q: What CPR certification do Pleasanton childcare teachers need?

A: Licensed California child care teachers need a Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification for Pleasanton. The certification is valid for two years and needs to be accepted by the EMSA – the agency that regulates daycares and preschools. We offer American Red Cross certifications because it’s the preferred certification for the EMSA.

Q: Are you now issuing eCards for CPR certifications in Pleasanton?

A: Yes, eCards are now replacing the traditional paper CPR certification cards in Pleasanton. It’s a much better approach in our opinion. Over the years we have replaced hundreds of lost or destroyed CPR cards. With eCards you always have access to your AHA, Red Cross or ASHI First Aid and CPR certification. Your certification can be printed like a traditional paper card or it can be downloaded as a PDF file. You can email your CPR card to whomever needs to verify your certification.

Q: Can I do my CPR class entirely on-line?

A: If you need your certification to meet a job requirement, the answer is very likely no. There are numerous on-line advertisements for on-line only CPR classes. We frequently get calls from people who took an online-class, submitted it to their Pleasanton company supervisor and were told the certification does not meet their requirements. OSHA, the EMSA and other organizations that make sure industries are meeting safety requirements are very clear individuals need to practice CPR, BLS and First Aid skills in Pleasanton as part of their certification.

Q: How quickly can I get my certification card for my Pleasanton CPR class?

A: We’re now issuing eCards instead of the traditional paper First Aid, CPR and BLS certification cards in Pleasanton. eCards are far more versatile than paper cards. Also, we can immediately issue them at your class. eCards can be printed like traditional paper CPR cards and also downloaded as a PDF file to store on your phone or computer.

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.

Lori Costabile

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.
