A: No deposit is needed to schedule your First Aid and/or CPR AED in Pacifica. The cost of your class is determined by the number of people who attend. As you add more people to your class, the overall cost per person will decrease. We bill you after your class with flexible methods of payment: cash, check, direct deposit or credit card. We are available to come to Pacifica seven days a week, including evenings. Other healthcare industries that require BLS certifications include dentists, physical and occupational therapists. We always instruct American Heart Association BLS certification classes in Pacifica offices.

Q: I want a infant CPR class at my Pacifica home. Can my baby be present during the class?

A: Yes! Every year we instruct hundreds of infant CPR classes in Pacifica and other Bay Area cities.  We’re very used to having babies present during classes and we understand if you need to take a break to tend to your baby. Unlike a class in a classroom with other students, infant CPR classes in your home are ideal because it’s just your family and the instructor. Many of our instructors have children, so we know the challenges of arranging for babysitters. Don’t sweat it – your baby is welcome to join us!

A: Childcare teachers are required to have a Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification in Pacifica. We offer the American Red Cross class because it fulfills the licensing requirements of the EMSA – the agency that regulates childcare facilities in California.

Q: I want to learn how to use an AED and it looks like I can buy one through In Home CPR. Is that true?

A: Yes, we have a relationship with an AED wholesalers and purchase AEDs for our Pacifica CPR class clients. Our instructors will show you how to use an AED while doing CPR during your class.

Q: Can I do my CPR class online first, and then you come to my Pacifica location for practicing the skills?

A: You can do part of your First Aid, ACLS, BLS or CPR class online, but you still need to have to do a “skills session” with us to receive your certification. The American Heart Association ASHI, and the American Red Cross have quality interactive online courses. After completing the online course, our instructor comes to your Pacifica business or home to practice the skills you learned about online – practicing with the CPR manikins and first aid supplies. For example, if our instructor teaches an entire Red Cross First Aid CPR AED course at your Pacifica business or home, it will take about 4.5 to 5 hours. With the blended learning approach, the online portion takes most people between 2 to 3 hours, but this varies on people’s reading speed and familiarity with the course material. The skills session takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. This approach results in the same certification.
