American Red Cross Classes
These are classes that meet the requirements for people who work in these industries: construction, teacher, childcare, coaching, personal training and other non-medical professions. If you’re struggling to figure which class you need to take, just ask us!
CPR AED

Course content: Infant, child and adult CPR. Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and responding to choking. Infant and child CPR can be excluded from the course.
First Aid

Course content: Broken bones, burns, bleeding, using a tourniquet, concussions, stings, heat/cold emergencies, diabetic emergencies, seizures, asthma, allergic reactions, use of an Epi-Pen, and poisoning. Recognition and responding to choking, stroke, heart attack and shock.
First Aid CPR AED

Meets OSHA’s First Aid & CPR certification requirements.
Content: infant, child and adult CPR. Using AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Recognition and responding to broken bones, burns, bleeding, using a tourniquet, concussions, stings, heat/cold emergencies, diabetic emergencies, seizures, asthma, allergic reactions, use of an Epi-Pen, and poisoning. Recognition and responding to choking, stroke, heart attack and shock.
Infant and child CPR can be excluded from the course.
Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

This class meets the first aid and CPR requirements of the EMSA for licensed daycare and preschool teachers, but is also a great class for nannies, babysitters and parents.
Content: infant, child and adult CPR. Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Recognition and responding to choking, broken bones, burns, bleeding, concussions, stings, heat/cold emergencies, diabetic emergencies, seizures, asthma, allergic reactions, use of an Epi-Pen, and poisoning.
American Red Cross Skills Sessions
Students can also do part of their Red Cross course online ahead of time, then our instructors come to you for a “Skills Session” – the hands-on portion of the course.

American Heart Association Classes
These classes are for healthcare professions: RNs, LVN, Medical Assistant, Dental Professional, Physical and Occupation Therapist, Medical Technician. If you’re not sure if you need this type of certification, please ask us!
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR

This is the required CPR certification for people who work in healthcare and for healthcare students. If you are unsure if you are required to have this certification, ask us.
Course Content: Infant, child and adult CPR, using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), responding to choking. Using a pocket mask and bag-mask device. Single person response and team response. Opioid emergency.
ACLS Initial

This is for students who are new to ACLS or do not have a current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
ACLS Renewal

American Heart Association Skills Sessions
The AHA also allows students to do some of the course online before our instructor comes for your “Skills Session”.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR Skills Session

This is the required CPR certification for people who work in healthcare and for healthcare students. If you are unsure if you are required to have this certification, ask us.
BLS skills sessions are conducted after all students have successfully completed the American Heart Association’s online portion of the BLS course. Each student pays the AHA $28.50 for the online portion of the course. If you have a large group, we can purchase online course keys for you.

ACLS Skills Session

For students who have completed the online portion of the AHA’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course. The online portion takes costs $132 per student and takes approximately 6.5 hours.
New and Expecting Parents and Custom Classes
Our CPR Essentials class is a non-certification class customized to the age of your child and the topics most important to you. We can also design a custom adult-oriented class for your group.
CPR Essentials

The CPR Essentials Class is a pediatric-focused class for new and expecting parents and their family members. The individualized, hands-on instruction lets us quickly cover a lot of material with plenty of time to ask questions. In this class we cover:
- Recognizing when it is necessary to use CPR and how to perform it.
- Responding to choking emergencies and other airway issues
- Basic First Aid for bleeding, burns, falls
We encourage all our students to ask us about the safety topics most important to them during their CPR Essentials Class. Additional topics we can instruct you to respond to during your class: seizures, allergic reactions, using an epinephrine pen, using an AED, asthma, drowning, infections, bites and stings, concussions and broken bones.
This class does not certify you in CPR.
