American Red Cross Certification Classes

In Home CPR travels throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to instruct American Red Cross certification courses. These are classes for laypeople (non-medical professionals).  If you are looking for a healthcare professional certification, such as BLS or ACLS, visit our American Heart Association class page.

All certifications are valid for two years.


CPR AED

This class covers infant, child and adult CPR.  It also teaches you how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and responses to choking. Infant CPR can be excluded from the class.

CPR AED Skills Session

The “blended learning” approach to the CPR AED course: students complete most of the course online, then our instructor comes to you for a “skills session”.  The skills session is the hands-on portion of the course: practicing with the CPR manikins and AED trainers.  Ask us about how to do a blended learning class for you.

First Aid

In this class you will recognize and care for victims of injury or sudden illness plus learn how to treat cuts, bruises, bone and muscle injuries, shock, bleeding and other emergencies.

Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

This class covers how to do infant, child and adult CPR.  It also teaches you how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).  You will learn to recognize and care for pediatric victims of injury or sudden illness plus learn how to treat cuts, bruises, bone and muscle injuries, shock, bleeding and other medical emergencies.  This class meets the first aid and CPR requirement of the EMSA for licensed daycare and preschool teachers.  The blended learning approach is available for non-EMSA courses.
