We use electronic feedback manikins that let you know if you are doing CPR correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions About San Rafael CPR Classes

Q: What is the cost for setting up a CPR class at my San Rafael office or home?

A: It depends on the number of people you have. We do one-on-one CPR classes in San Rafael, but that is an expensive way to take a class. As you add people to your class, the price per person becomes lower. You can visit any of our class pages and use the price calculator to get an instant quote.

Q: What is the advantage of having a CPR class at my business? Currently, we send our staff to a local classroom in San Rafael with scheduled CPR classes.

A: Most of our instructors are EMTs and Paramedics who have years of arriving at businesses via a 911 call. It’s not uncommon for them to find the victim’s co-workers panicking, disorganized and sometimes even arguing about how to help. When company employees do not train together, they’re frequently not on the same page about how to respond. When we come to your San Rafael business for a First Aid, CPR or BLS class, we will train your staff how to respond as a group in your office. It’s the best way to prepare your staff to provide First Aid or CPR for a coworker.

Q: When I think of first aid, I think of how to handle bleeding and burns, but I know it must include more, right?

A: The first aid training classes we teach cover much more than cuts and burns. We instruct American Red Cross First Aid and ASHI certification courses in San Rafael. They include responding to seizures, broken bones, strokes, heart attacks, allergic reactions, how to use an epi-pen, poisonings, and temperature-related emergencies. We also offer pediatric first aid classes for licensed childcare centers and non-certification infant first aid classes for new and expecting parents.

Q: I’ve heard there is a particular CPR certification requirement for healthcare professionals in San Rafael. What is that certification?

A: If you work in healthcare you need a different CPR certification than what people in non-medical jobs need. We instruct the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification for San Rafael. Clinics and hospitals in California follow AHA guidelines, so they usually require the AHA’s BLS certification.  If you work in EMS (EMT, Paramedic) the Red Cross’ BLS certification is usually accepted as well.

Q: How quickly will I get my American Heart Association BLS certification card for my San Rafael class?

A: If our instructor has access to the internet, they can process your BLS certification immediately. The AHA is now using eCards, instead of the paper certification cards we are all used to. It’s a big improvement. You can print your BLS certification, but also download it and email it to whomever needs to verify it, as well as save it as a PDF file to store on your phone or laptop.

Q: Is there a minimum of people needed to schedule a San Rafael infant CPR class at my home?

A: There is no minimum number of people needed to schedule an infant CPR class with us. Your baby can be present during class, too. We’re available seven days a week to come to you, including evenings. All of our instructors are medical professionals such as Paramedics and EMTs.

Q: Do California child care teachers need just a CPR certification or also First Aid in San Rafael?

A: Licensed preschool and daycare teachers need to always have a valid Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification in San Rafael. AED training is also included in these classes. The First Aid material includes many topics such as responding to choking, using an Epi-Pen for allergic reactions, responding to burns, bleeding, bee-stings, and many other First Aid topics.

Q: Do you sell AEDs to your San Rafael clients?

A: Yes.  We offer discounted prices on AEDs and AEDs accessories for our First Aid, BLS and ACLS and CPR San Rafael class clients. More and more businesses are purchasing AEDs because the manufacturing costs have dropped. Feel free to ask us about buying an AED.

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.

Tom Rooker

As an independent businesswoman, it was refreshing to work with someone who believes as I do:that punctuality, professionalism, kindness, and good customer relations are worthy goals to achieve.

Sornam Sahadevan

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.
