Frequently Asked Questions About Hayward CPR Classes

Q: What is the cost for setting up a class at my Hayward office or home?

A: It depends on the number of people you have. We do one-on-one CPR classes in Hayward, but that is an expensive way to take a class. As you add people to your class, the price per person becomes lower. You can visit any of our class pages and use the price calculator to get an instant quote.

Q: Do your First Aid certification classes meet OSHA’s First Aid & CPR certification requirements for Hayward?

A: Yes, we instruct ASHI and American Red Cross First Aid classes in Hayward because OSHA accepts those certifications to fulfill its First Aid and CPR certification requirements.

Q: How long is an Hayward American Heart Association BLS certification valid for?

A: All AHA BLS certification cards last for two years. There are two different ways you can take a BLS renewal certification class. 1) We can come to your Hayward office or home and instruct the entire BLS class. 2) You can do some of the BLS course online ahead of time. Then our instructor comes to you for a BLS “skills session” – the hands-on portion of the class: practicing with the CPR manikins and other BLS training supplies. Both approaches result in the American Heart Association BLS certification. You will receive your BLS certification card the day of your class.

Q: I want a baby CPR class at my Hayward home. Can my baby be present during the class?

A: Yes! Every year we instruct hundreds of infant CPR classes in Hayward and other Bay Area cities.  We’re very used to having babies present during classes and we understand if you need to take a break to tend to your baby. Unlike a class in a classroom with other students, infant CPR classes in your home are ideal because it’s just your family and the instructor. Many of our instructors have children, so we know the challenges of arranging for babysitters. Don’t sweat it – your baby is welcome to join us!

Q: What is the difference between Infant CPR and Child CPR in a Hayward CPR certification class?

A: Infants are defined as one-year-old and under in a First Aid & CPR class. A child Is one-year-old up to puberty. Pediatric First Aid & CPR classes for licensed childcare facilities in Hayward cover child CPR and infant CPR. Adult CPR is also covered because the most often CPR performed is on adults because of cardiac issues.

Q: What is the minimum number of people needed to set up a Hayward CPR class at my business or home?

A: There is no minimum number of people needed to set up a First Aid, BLS or CPR class in Hayward with us. The more people you have, the less it will cost per person. We can handle classes of up to about 100 people.

Q: Do you know the Hayward CPR certification and First Aid class requirements for my industry?

A: Yes, we view part of our job to know the First Aid and CPR AED certification requirements for Hayward industries. Whether you’re a preschool that needs an American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification class or a dental office that needs a BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification, we will make sure you get the correct First Aid and CPR certification for your industry.

Q: I understand First Aid training for a certification in Hayward has to cover required topics. But can your instructor cover First Aid topics that might not be part of the course?

A: When we instruct an ASHI, Red Cross or American Heart Association certification course, we are required to instruct the course according to the guidelines of those organizations. However, our approach to First Aid training and CPR training in Hayward is to be very interactive with our students. We encourage our students to ask questions and if you ask about a topic not covered in your course, we are happy to cover it. Also, because we are EMTs, RNs and Paramedics we can give you a depth of understanding on any topic that goes beyond the First Aid training and CPR training of your certification course.

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.

Lori Costabile

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.
