Q: What is covered in a Stockton First Aid training class at my business or home?

A: First Aid training covers bleeding, burns, bites, falls, concussions, allergic reactions and how to use an epi-pen, recognizing strokes and heart attacks, heat and cold emergencies, diabetes, asthma, broken bones and responding to choking. Our instruction style for Stockton First Aid certificate classes is very interactive, so always let us know what topics are important to you and our instructor will spend extra time during your class covering them.

Q: Do you instruct the American Heart Association’s BLS certification class in Stockton?

A: Yes, the AHA’s BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification is often the required CPR certification if you work in a clinic or hospital. If you are a student in healthcare, you are also required to have a BLS certification.

Q: I want an Infant CPR class in my Stockton home, but don’t need a certification class. Do you offer that?

A: Yes, we do! Our CPR Essentials class is a non-certification class designed for new and expecting parents. It covers infant CPR as well as basic first aid topics such as burns, falls and bleeding. The focus of the class is airway issues such as choking, drowning, seizures, suffocation and allergies because that’s often the cause that leads to doing CPR for a baby. We also cover how to talk to a 911 Operator while providing care for your baby in a medical emergency.

Q: What is the EMSA required certification for my Stockton childcare staff?

A: We instruct American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid CPR AED courses for state licensed daycare, preschool and childcare centers. This, along with the American Heart Association’s certification, are the EMSA’s referred Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certifications for Stockton.

Q: I see you offer CPR AED certification classes for Stockton. What does AED mean?

A: We have all seen a person being defibrillated with paddles on TV medical shows. With advances in technology, now everybody can use a defibrillator called an AED – Automated External Defibrillator. When the AED is turned on it talks the user through what to do. Instead of paddles, sticky pads are applied to the victim’s chest and then the AED analyzes the victim to determine if they need a shock to get their heart beating normally. They are surprisingly easy to use and widely available for the public to use in airports, malls, gyms and sports stadiums. For our CPR AED classes in Stockton, we bring practice AEDs so you will be prepared to use one if needed.

Q: My last CPR class was so boring! Please tell me your classes aren’t like that!

A: All of our instructors take pride in the quality of their Stockton CPR, BLS and First Aid classes. They’re all EMTs, RNs and Paramedics, so all of them have taken many classes over the years. They know just how agonizing it is to sit through a poorly taught CPR class. They strive to interact with you and encourage you to ask the questions about the topics that are particularly important to you. Whether it’s seizures, asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes or just recognizing when to call 911, our instructors will give you a depth of understanding you likely haven’t received in a class before.

Q: Do you teach American Heart Association ACLS classes in Stockton?

A: Yes, our ACLS instructors are experienced paramedics who really enjoy teaching. We can do the entire ACLS course at your facility or you can do most of the ACLS course online and then we can come to your business or home to do a short ACLS skills session. Both approaches result in the same Stockton ACLS certification.

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.

As an independent businesswoman, it was refreshing to work with someone who believes as I do:that punctuality, professionalism, kindness, and good customer relations are worthy goals to achieve.

Sornam Sahadevan

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.
