Frequently Asked Questions About Stanislaus County CPR Classes
Q: What days and times is In Home CPR available to come to my business or home in Stanislaus County?
A: We are available seven days a week, including evenings to teach a Stanislaus County CPR certification class at your home or business. Our instructors are all medical professionals who have real-life experience responding to medical emergencies.
Q: Does In Home CPR really come to my home or business to teach a class in Stanislaus County? Do I need to provide any resources to make this happen?
A: Our instructor will bring all of the CPR and First Aid training and audio/visual equipment to your Stanislaus County home or business. You only need to provide a space for our class.
Q: CPR training is important. What about including First Aid training in my Stanislaus County class?
A: We agree! Everyone knows that CPR and using an AED are life-saving skills. However, a Stanislaus County First Aid training class will prepare you for the most common medical emergencies: choking, bleeding, burns, using an Epi-Pen. Responding to cold and heat emergencies. Broken bones, seizures and allergic reactions. We teach First Aid and CPR AED combination certification classes, too.
Q: I’ve heard there is a particular CPR certification requirement for healthcare professionals in Stanislaus County. What is that certification?
A: If you work in healthcare you need a different CPR certification than what people in non-medical jobs need. We instruct the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification for Stanislaus County. Clinics and hospitals in California follow AHA guidelines, so they usually require the AHA’s BLS certification. If you work in EMS (EMT, Paramedic) the Red Cross’s BLS certification is usually accepted as well.
Q: I want to take an infant CPR class with my entire family at my home in Stanislaus County. Is that possible?
A: Yes, that’s what we specialize in! Everyone who will be caring for your baby can train together to respond to the most common pediatric medical emergencies: choking, drowning, suffocation, allergic reactions, seizures and many more topics.
Q: Do your classes fulfill EMSA requirements for licensed childcare teachers in Stanislaus County?
A: Yes! In Home CPR travels to preschools, daycares and childcare centers around the Bay Area and Sacramento teaching the American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification course. There is a lot of confusion around the EMSA sticker being on a certification card. Red Cross and American Heart Association certifications are exempt from needing that sticker. Their certification courses are the industry standard so the EMSA does not require the sticker. Any other organization’s certification must be approved by the EMSA, and if approved the EMSA sticker is required to be placed on the certification card to show its acceptance. This is why In Home CPR exclusively teaches American Red Cross and American Heart Association certification courses in Stanislaus County.
Q: I’m not sure which certification I need! Can you help me?
A: Absolutely! We know the First Aid, BLS, CPR and ACLS requirements for all industries in Stanislaus County. It’s our job to make sure you receive the right certification so you’re in compliance with your industry requirements. We know OSHA, EMSA and hospital requirements. Feel free to contact us and we’re more than happy to work with you to make sure you’re taking the correct certification class.
Q: How long are your Stanislaus County First Aid and CPR AED classes?
A: First aid certification classes are 2.5 hours. CPR AED certification classes are 2.5 hours. If you have more than eight people for your CPR class, plan on 3 hours. Since there is some overlap in the course material between the two segments, plan on 4.5 to 5 hours. There is another approach called blended learning that results in the same certification. Your group does some of the course online ahead of time. Then our instructor comes to your group in Stanislaus County for the hands-on practice portion of the class called a skills session. A CPR skills session takes about 1 hour. First aid adds another hour.
Q: I see you offer CPR training. Do you offer First Aid training in Stanislaus County?
A: Yes, we offer both. You can take a standalone First Aid training class or CPR training class in Stanislaus County, but you can also take them together. For people who need a certification, we offer American Red Cross First Aid certification training or American Red Cross CPR certification training or you can take a Red Cross First Aid & CPR certification training class. Let us know which class you want or need and we will make sure you are getting the correct training for your group.
