CPR Essentials

The Manteca CPR Essentials Class is a non-certification infant and/or toddler-focused class customized for new and expecting parents. It’s an interactive class and questions are encouraged. You will learn infant CPR and responding to airway emergencies such as seizures, choking, drowning and allergic reactions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Manteca CPR Classes

Q: How do I set up a CPR class at my Manteca business or home?

A: Whether you need CPR Training, BLS Certification or an Infant CPR class, contact us with a couple of dates and start times in mind and we will schedule a class with you in Manteca. We can also train you to use an AED.

Q: I’m interested in having you teach a class at my business or home in Manteca. How do I schedule that?

A: Contact us if you’re ready to schedule a CPR, BLS or First Aid class at Manteca business or home or if you have questions about what class you need. We teach ASHI and American Red Cross Certification classes for CPR AED, First Aid and Pediatric First Aid. We also instruct American Heart Association certification classes for healthcare professionals: BLS for Healthcare Providers and ACLS. We also teach non-certification infant CPR and First Aid classes for new and expecting parents. In short, we bring all of the training and audio/visual equipment to your location – you just need to provide a room for our class. If you know which class you need, contact us with a couple dates and start times that work for your group. We have many mobile instructors, so we will find a day/start time that works for both of us.

Q: Our group in Manteca needs CPR certifications, but we also need First Aid certifications. Can we get both certifications in the same class?

A: Yes, your group can take an American Red Cross or ASHI First Aid CPR AED certification class in Manteca. It’s a single certification. All of the First Aid and CPR material can be covered during a single session with our instructors. These classes are typically 4 to 5 hours in length and result in a two-year certification card. You can also do most of the course online ahead of time, followed by a “skills session” with our instructors – the hands-on practice portion of the course. The skills session is typically 1 to 2 hours. Both approaches result in the same Manteca First Aid CPR AED certification.

Q: I’ve heard there is a particular CPR certification requirement for healthcare professionals in Manteca. What is that certification?

A: If you work in healthcare you need a different CPR certification than what people in non-medical jobs need. We instruct the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification for Manteca. Clinics and hospitals in California follow AHA guidelines, so they usually require the AHA’s BLS certification.  If you work in EMS (EMT, Paramedic) the Red Cross’ BLS certification is usually accepted as well.

Q: Is there a minimum number of people needed to schedule a Manteca infant CPR class at my home?

A: There is no minimum number of people needed to schedule an infant CPR class with us in Manteca. Your baby can be present during class, too. We’re available seven days a week to come to you, including evenings. All of our instructors are medical professionals such as Paramedics and EMTs.

Q: What CPR certification do Manteca childcare teachers need?

A: Licensed California child care teachers need a Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification for Manteca. The certification is valid for two years and needs to be accepted by the EMSA – the agency that regulates daycares and preschools. We offer American Red Cross certifications because it’s the preferred certification for the EMSA.

Q: I see you offer CPR AED certification classes for Manteca. What does AED mean?

A: We have all seen a person being defibrillated with paddles on TV medical shows. With advances in technology, now everybody can use a defibrillator called an AED – Automated External Defibrillator. When the AED is turned on it talks the user through what to do. Instead of paddles, sticky pads are applied to the victim’s chest and then the AED analyzes the victim to determine if they need a shock to get their heart beating normally. They are surprisingly easy to use and widely available for the public to use in airports, malls, gyms and sports stadiums. For our CPR AED classes in Manteca, we bring practice AEDs so you will be prepared to use one if needed.

Q: Do you know the Manteca CPR certification and First Aid class requirements for my industry?

A: Yes, we view part of our job to know the First Aid and CPR AED certification requirements for Manteca industries. Whether you’re a preschool that needs an American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certification class or a dental office that needs a BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification, we will make sure you get the correct First Aid and CPR certification for your industry.

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.

As an independent businesswoman, it was refreshing to work with someone who believes as I do:that punctuality, professionalism, kindness, and good customer relations are worthy goals to achieve.

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.
