Frequently Asked Questions About Lodi CPR Classes

Q: What days and times is In Home CPR available to come to my business or home in Lodi?

A: We are available seven days a week, including evenings to teach a Lodi CPR certification class at your home or business. Our instructors are all medical professionals who have real-life experience responding to medical emergencies.

Q: What is the cost for setting up a class at my Lodi office or home?

A: It depends on the number of people you have. We do one-on-one CPR classes in Lodi, but that is an expensive way to take a class. As you add people to your class, the price per person becomes lower. You can visit any of our class pages and use the price calculator to get an instant quote.

Q: What is covered in a Lodi First Aid training class at my business or home?

A: First Aid training covers bleeding, burns, bites, falls, concussions, allergic reactions and how to use an epi-pen, recognizing strokes and heart attacks, heat and cold emergencies, diabetes, asthma, broken bones and responding to choking. Our instruction style for Lodi First Aid certificate classes is very interactive, so always let us know what topics are important to you and our instructor will spend extra time during your class covering them.

Q: I was told I need a BLS CPR class for my work in Lodi. What is BLS?

A: We instruct American Heart Association’s BLS Provider CPR classes in Lodi.  It’s a confusing class name and often gets spoken or written in shorter or longer versions of the official title.  It’s the CPR certification for everyone who works in healthcare or is a healthcare student. BLS stands for “Basic Life Support”. The title “Healthcare” was recently removed from the name, so you will see “BLS for Healthcare Providers” still printed as the name of the course – and we still include it in our website to cue people in that it’s the class for healthcare professionals.

Q: Is there a minimum of people needed to schedule an Lodi infant CPR class at my home?

A: There is no minimum number of people needed to schedule an infant CPR class with us. Your baby can be present during class, too. We’re available seven days a week to come to you, including evenings. All of our instructors are medical professionals such as Paramedics and EMTs.

Q: What is the EMSA required certification for my Lodi childcare staff?

A: We instruct American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid CPR AED courses for state licensed daycare, preschool and childcare centers. This, along with the American Heart Association’s certification, are the EMSA’s referred Pediatric First Aid CPR AED certifications for Lodi.

Q: I want to get CPR certified, but I heard there is a written test. Is that true?

A: There is no written test to get CPR certified in Lodi. ASHI and American Red Cross CPR certification courses focus on understanding skills via a DVD and the instructor, along with plenty of hands-on practice.

Q: What topics are covered in a Lodi CPR certification class?

A: Lodi CPR training classes are more than just learning CPR. First, you learn to assess a person who needs help and determine if they need CPR. CPR training includes how to do CPR for adults, children and infants. However, you can exclude particular age groups from your CPR training. For example, if the required CPR certification you need only applies to training in adult CPR, you can choose to skip pediatric CPR. The class also includes training to respond to choking and training to use an AED – an Automated External defibrillator.

Q: How quickly can I get my certification card for my Lodi CPR class?

A: We’re now issuing eCards instead of the traditional paper First Aid, CPR and BLS certification cards in Lodi. eCards are far more versatile than paper cards. Also, we can immediately issue them at your class. eCards can be printed like traditional paper CPR cards and also downloaded as a PDF file to store on your phone or computer.

My family had the pleasure of having Chris teach us a class that, in my opinion, is not an option if you choose to have children – it’s mandatory.

As an independent businesswoman, it was refreshing to work with someone who believes as I do:that punctuality, professionalism, kindness, and good customer relations are worthy goals to achieve.

Sornam Sahadevan

I recently completed a CPR class with Chris, and I urge anyone who is interested in taking a CPR class to take Chris’ class; you’ll be happy you did. Chris is a natural teacher, and he has an easy going and very likable personality.
